There are so many good thing about school (based on my 4 years with the school):
    - you can ALWAYS get free introductory class to FEEL if it works for you (kind of silly to choose school based on phone conversation only) or at least come and watch actual class
    - less format than many Aikido schools, classes all about learning/practicing techniques all the chat and socializing aspect left to after class time. As a rule under-belts (novices) work out with black belts or higher belts (experienced) students
    - classes every day except Friday, morning classes on Weekends, rarely closed on Holidays (no limitations, you can be at school every day (except Friday:)). All classes are 1 hour 30 minutes long.
    - conveniently located in New Haven, CT close to roots 15, 69, 63, 122
    - classes are small 4-12 people at the time (great opportunity to get all the questions answered by master himself)
    - classes are demanding on physical level, ramp up period is almost always required (takes about 4-10 classes to be able to participate 100%) and expected (students encouraged to take it slow). Over the time students develop "core" strength (similar to pilates)
    - Dojo is quite big and has THE BEST mat out there (once you start being thrown around you WILL appreciate it)
    - school teaches Aikido style developed by Sensei Bob Liedke, very practical style with all the Aikido qualities (complete relaxation, no reliance on physical strength). This school does not train tournament or prize fighters this school prepares you for that one time when you really need it.
    - school mostly adult oriented (13...60) though I have seen couple kids (9-10) adjusting and doing pretty well
    - instruction level is HIGHEST GRADE, you have to witness it to really appreciate skill and love these guys put into it. Instructors are very open, pleasant and knowledgeable people.

In conclusion: all around great martial arts school, highly recommended to novices and experienced martial arts practitioners
