College Street Music Hall — Establishment and night club at 238 College Street, New Haven, Connecticut.

I was blown away by this venue! Tucked in the hot nightlife district of downtown New Haven, the modest facade of the building holds a surprisingly massive concert hall complete with a huge stage, pit, orchestra and balcony seating, and bars. The drinks are reasonably priced and poured proper (there's a pretty sizable selection of craft beers too) and the bartenders are friendly and fun. Security is a little tight coming in, though this is New Haven, and given the size of the hall, I felt the security was reasonable in exchange for safety. I'm sure each experience varies based on which show you see, but when I went, the crowd was upbeat and respectful and the sound and lighting were amazing! (Check out the sound and lighting rigs before the show starts – very impressive!) Overall, I'd love to see another show here. Coolest larger music venue in the New Haven area!
